High School Boys
The Boys HS Rugby National Championships has confirmed its seeds and its schedule.
To be played at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Mo., the tournament will feature, as always, a Boys Single-School bracket, Boys HS Club bracket, and a Tier II bracket.
The Raleigh Redhawks pushed Royal Irish in a 24-19 Royal Irish win over the weekend, showing that the Redhawks remain very close to the upper echelon of HS club teams.
For Royal Irish it was yet another tight game where they ended up on top.
Both teams were missing starters as injuries and various commitments (college visits, etc.) held them out.
We have resisted this move for the #1 team for some weeks now.
As the Boys HS Rugby National Championships loom, and the much-anticipated seedings loom even closer (!), here's a look at what happened over the weekend.
Woodlands Rugby hosted the Kansas City Jr. Blues and the Mexico City Aztecas this weekend, as two teams going to the National Championships sought some challenging warmup competition.
In the end, both Woodlands and KC won their games against the Aztecas, and Woodlands, ranked #4 by GRR, also defeated #23-ranked Kansas City.
