The NIRA champion is stronger than the D1 Elite champion.
No, wait, that can't be. The D1 Elite top dog has way more bite.
After a year of experimenting with a fall-only 15s schedule the women’s D1 Elite league is back to a fall-spring run, with two extra teams.
Life, Lindenwood, and Penn State are now the eastern half of the league, with BYU, Grand Canyon, and Central Washington in the western side.
NIRA action outside of DI was relatively quiet as many teams played cross-divisional matches, but in DI it was a big weekend, one with potentially significant ramifications within the new Power Ratings.

NIRA’s standings are out and if you’re looking at the D1 standings you’ll see a whole bunch of weird numbers.
DII conferences have close to 50 games this weekend.
Matchups to watch: Villanova vs Bucknell is certainly a big one in the MARC. The Great Midwest has four games with Loyola at Illinois State and Marquette at Nothern Iowa both games with plenty on the line.
