Army (2-0) is the leading contender for “best dramatic performance,” winning its second comeback victory in as many weeks. Following a three-point win over AIC, the Cadets overcame a three-score deficit against Quinnipiac (1-1) to win 29-24.

With the exit of varsity teams AIC, Army, and Norwich, the DI Northeast conference title is for the taking. Boston University opened with a 40-7 win over Northeastern Saturday, and will be gunning for the automatic bid to playoffs with a differently styled squad.

Despite the seven-try spread, Boston did not dominate the entire match.

It really was a new-look Lindenwood that took on Northern Iowa in a DI non-conference match today, and the Lady Lions controlled the match from start to end, writing a 132-0 victory into the books. The Missouri team then added a 55-0 shutout in the B side match.

Sacred Heart University has made quite the leap. This time last year, the Pioneers were competing in NSCRO and advanced to the championship against fellow small college Roger Williams. Today, Sacred Heart is an NCAA DI varsity program facing the likes of Notre Dame College, AIC, and Norwich. That’s a sharp uptick in competition, but fortunately, the program has Michelle Reed at the helm.
