The Life University Women's rugby team had a tiring weekend, playing three games in two days over Saturday and Sunday.
This was good practice for the Running Eagles as playoff time comes along, and Life did well, beating South Florida and Florida International on Saturday, and then a Florida Select Squad 47-7 on Sunday.
After playing rugby for eight years, an injury forced Brandon Scott to the sidelines, and that, in a really positive sense, is where he has been since then.
Scott has remained in the game as a coach, and in just a few weeks has helped form a women’s rugby program at Coastal Carolina.
After a 78-5 win against Emory, Georgia Tech went into the battle against UGA searching for another positive outcome, but fell short.
Stanford found the redemption it was looking for from its last match against UC Davis by beating Cal by over 40 points Saturday.
