So we've had to make massive changes.
The important exercise in ranking DIA, NCR D1, and D1AA teams together is to see how they all match up. That was the purpose of ranking everyone together. And in the end we found out what we needed to know thanks to one game.
We always say that the playoffs will clarify the rankings and we'd like that, but sometimes it seems they muddle things, too.
Lindenwood shut out Davenport 32-0 Saturday playing in what was essentially a blizzard, handing the Panthers their first conference loss of the season and providing a lesson in off-field preparation for difficult playing conditions.
Thomas More put Fairfield to the sword 70-21 to move on to the NCR D1 semifinals Saturday, jumping to the top four a year after winning the D2 playoffs.
Also into the NCR D1 semifinals are Queens University Charlotte, Brown, and defending champions St. Bonaventure.
As we say at Goff Rugby Report all the time, ranking D2 college rugby teams is difficult because most teams don't play outside their conference until the playoffs start.
