The Big Rivers Conference is decidedly underway with Thomas More, Marian, and, notably, Principia all winning.
Thomas More had started off with a couple of early-season, non-conference losses but won their opening conference game 52-21 over new member Rio Grande. The Saints were able to open up their attack a little bit more in this game.
Loyola of Chicago improved to 2-0 with yet another fairly comfortable win, beating Illinois State 50-15.

Davenport Handles HoosiersDavenport showed off a very impressive result over the weekend, beating Indiana 52-3.
In what might be a bit of a surprise result, Clemson edged Tennessee 27-26 over the weekend in SCRC action.
Clemson was coming off a recent loss to Kentucky and a 51-12 loss to Penn State, meaning there was some question as to where they might fit in a very competitive SCRC.
Big doings in the Liberty Conference as league-leaders Fairfield were upended by Iona in the NCR D1 conference.
The 24-16 victory put Iona at 1-0 and dropped Fairfield to 3-1 and opened things up in the conference.
