GRR: College Men
Over 60 men’s college rugby players and several HS players will converge on the campus of Cal Maritime Academy next week as the Men’s Collegiate All American coaches look to identify the top players in the college game.
USA Rugby has selected its Collegiate Honor Roll, which is made up of collegiate rugby players with grade point averages of 3.50 or better.

In what used to be a rarity promoted by a few teams, now most men’s clubs competing for a 7s national championship have recruited college players, including underclassmen, to help them.
Members of the Middle Tennessee State University rugby program were invited to help teach tackling to the Oakland HS football team in Murfreesboro, Tenn. last week.
“It went so well they asked us back for a second day,” said MTSU Head Coach Jody Hensley.
USA Rugby South has named two teams to participate in the North American Caribbean Rugby Association (NACRA) U19 championships to be held July 11.
Both teams were named after a series of camps and tryouts through the spring. Only about four college players are on the squad, with the rest coming from high schools throughout the Southern states. Nine states are represented.
