Sometimes college rugby teams run into trouble—school issues, outside issues, whatever the issues, some find themselves low on players, without a coach, and in danger of folding; here is the story of a team that turned the tide.
Expect some changes from Long Beach, Calif. as a coaching shift has Long Beach State looking to move up in the D1A California Conference.
Not a ton of movement in the D1A rankings because the higher-ranked teams won.
The big result is probably Army being defeated by St. Bonaventure. West Point certainly has to drift down but not too far; it's not as if St. Bonaventure is an average team. A three-point loss to potentially the best team in NCR isn't something to be ashamed of.
Kansas State's shutout win over Arkansas put many in the Heart of America on notice but a week late KSU got a notice of their own after Kansas beat them 34-12.
For the Jayhawks, this was a fairly important showing because KSU had already shown themselves to be a force to be reckoned with.
Big changes after Tennessee's loss to Clemson. Yes, only one point, but since Tennessee beat South Carolina, USC drops down, too, while Clemson moves up.
Everyone has a shot at moving up, of course.
