Life University has been off for three weeks and goes into this weekend’s DIA quarterfinal against Penn State well-rested.
And don’t think they’ll b rusty. Life has shown repeatedly that they can switch it on when they need to.
Davenport University and Army are acquainted, as the two teams met in the DIA playoffs last year; and this year a place in the semifinals is at stake between the two teams.
So is this the St. Mary’s team that took apart Utah in Moraga, or the team that lost to the same Utes in Salt Lake City?
Is this the Utah team that seemed at sea against a speedy and decisive Gaels squad, or the one that beat St. Mary’s 49-21 and playing some wide open rugby of their own?
Well, let’s see.
There is not much to change after the latest results in the DIA and Varsity Cup playoffs. Perhaps Arizona State's big win over Ohio State precipitates the most dramatic change.
We were also impressed with Cal Poly's result against Utah, albeit a loss.
