UtahThe Majestics have been playing solid rugby throughout and beat Brighton-Wasatch in the state semifinals on Saturday, while United edged Provo to set up a United-Majestics clash next week.
On the final weekend of CIRA action in the Girls league, Summit HS won their three-game 7s series with Monarch in dramatic fashion to take the league championship.
Summit was up against Monarch, a team with exactly the same record as Summit going into the weekend.
The first season of CIRA Girls Rugby season enters a crucial weekend as the top two teams in the competition will meet for a series of three 7s games.
The American Rugby Pro Training Center is hosting an elite-level 7s tournament for women and girls teams June 26-27.
The Falcon 7s is designed for top-level teams to get strong competition, and will concentrate on only women and girls.
The National 7s Youth Championships is filling up nicely but there remains a little space for some girls teams.
The tournament will be held June 12-13 in Cleveland, Ohio on the fields at St. Ignatius HS.
"We got a massive response," said Tournament Director Pat Rahill.
