GLENDALE, Colo. (USA Rugby Release) – The USA Youth and High School rugby representatives in American rugby have officially wrapped up their organizational revamp and approved their 501c3 status, Terms of Reference, and relationship with USA Rugby.

This latest list of college commits has a large number from Queens University Charlotte, as both the men's team, and especially the women's team, have announced impressive (in talent and size) recruiting classes.

Harvard's women's program is also listed, and several of what is likely to be a longer list from West Point men is also there (see image).

Return to play in the time of COVID-19 for youth and high school rugby promises to be very complicated.

Already we're seeing teams get antsy—nascent attempts at hosting small tournaments are garnering lots of interest from teams that want to play, and then interest from governing bodies putting the kibosh on the whole thing.

College Rugby Coaches are still looking for players even into July, and with some new varsity programs part of the mix, there remain opportunities for graduating HS seniors to find a college place where they can also play some rugby.

The University of Utah men's team continues to reload nicely, while we see Lindenwood, GCU, Memphis, and Tennessee, as well as a nicely-building Alderson Broaddus program in West Virginia, add some impressive rugby and classroom talent.
