With help from a panel of coaches and media, the nominations for the 2023-24 Rudy Scholz Award have been finalized.
The nominees for the 2019-2020 Rudy Scholz Award have been confirmed.
Following fan voting and nominations put forth by the Scholz Award Committee of coaches and experts, The list this year is larger than usual—18 players—and that is a function of the rugby shutdown halting playoffs, which is usually when certain players make an even stronger case for themselves.
Votes from college teams and from players and fans from around the country have finalized the five finalist for the MA Sorensen Award.

The nominees for the Rudy Scholz Award have been released.
The award is named after former Santa Clara rugby star and two-time Olympic gold medalist Rudy Scholz, and since 2016 has been given annually to the best men's college rugby player in the country.
The top two college rugby players in the country will be honored Saturday in Seattle.
The Washington Athletic Club began sponsoring the Rudy Scholz Award and the MA Sorensen Award for the top men's and women's college rugby players (respectively) in 2016. That year, Dylan Audsley of Saint Mary's and Hope Rogers of Penn State were honored.
