Cal had all sorts of trouble shaking loose UCLA in Saturday's PAC Rugby Conference clash in Los Angeles, but eventually the Bears (ranked #5 by Goff Rugby Report) prevailed over the #37 Bruins 18-12.

The University of Utah made a huge statement Saturday with a 38-0 shutout of UCLA in Los Angeles Saturday in the weekend's on PAC Rugby Conference game.

The Utes were strong up front and with Danny Christensen leading the offense from scrumhalf and with Tonata Lauti causing problems all day long, UCLA was summarily humbled by the result.

Cal and UCLA won in the opening weekend of the PAC Rugby Conference.

The Cal Bears thrashed a good Arizona team 76-0, with Harry Adolphus touching down twice early, once in the middle, and three times late for an astounding six tries, and Jake Anderson logging 24 points with the boot and two tries.

The University of California scored four tries and Jake Anderson added two penalty kicks, and Cal limited hosts UCLA 32-7 to win its 10th straight Storer Classic Sunday on North Athletic Field at UCLA. The Bears finished a 4-0 weekend to open their spring 15s season with 178 points scored over 160 minutes, with playing time spread among more than 50 student-athletes.
