With James Madison having moved on to the Chesapeake Conference, and Shippensburg men's rugby on suspension, the conference is back to eight teams in two divisions.

The Keystone Conference has gone pretty much according to the form sheet with only one or two little hiccups this season, and now with the playoffs coming a few potential upsets rear their heads.

Eight of the ten Keystone teams are in the quarterfinals, and while the top two from each division would have to be favored, this is a perfect time for someone to slip up.

In the team’s first game of rugby in two years, the University of Delaware defeated St. Joseph’s 46-34 Saturday in Newark, Del.

St. Joseph’s clinched the Keystone East with a 50-24 defeat of the only team that could have caught them, Temple.

Temple dropped to 2-2 but did enough to keep 2nd, even as Rutgers moved to 2-2 with a 26-18 defeat of West Chester.
