GRR: St. Francis
Northern California HS rugby just had its busiest weekend of the New Year, with the single-school competition kicking off its opening weekend.
Northern California's single-school competition is now in full swing and things are already feeling a little shaken up.
Torrey Pines defeated St. Francis 31-14 to win the All-California single-school championship.
(This championship does not include the SCIRF teams as it's played between the winners of SoCal Youth Rugby and Rugby NorCal). This takes the championship to Southern California for the first time. De La Salle took 3rd over San Clemente in the 3rd-4th game.
The Kahuku Red Raiders won the Hawaii Boys State Championship, winning both their semifinal and final on Saturday.
Kahuku faced off with Kamehameha in the semis, winning comfortably 67-0.
This was Kamehameha’s first season and the players competed well through the season.
