St. Joe's Prep is set to meet LaSalle College HS in the Rugby PA Boys D1 final after both won semifinals over the weekend.

Pennsylvania's league season opened up with a series of relatively lopsided results.
LaSalle impressed with a 43-10 win over Malvern Prep; Berks won big over West Shore 46-0; St. Joe's Prep won 43-5 over Doylestown.
The closest game was certainly Conestoga's 22-20 edging of defending state champs Gregory the Great.

Rugby PASusquehanna University hosted a leg of the Rugby PA Boys series, with series leaders Berks not in attendance.
In Pool A was West Shore, Bishop Shanahan, St. Joe’s Prep, and the Bethesda (Md.) Roosters.
Pool B had Blackthorn, Doylestown, Conestoga, and a Motley team.
Berks County Rugby won the second in the fall series of RugbyPA 7s tournaments on Sunday defeating Gonzaga I in the final.
Hosted by Knightmare Rugby in Hempfield, Pa., the Boys tournament had two pools: Pool A was Berks, Gonzaga I, Bishop Shanahan, and West Shore United, while Pool B was Hempfield, Cumberland Valley, Conestoga. and Gonzaga II.
Gregory the Great pieced together a intelligent and rapid-fire performance to defeat Doylestown for Rugby Pennsylvania’s Boys D1 high school championship.
Doylestown, having dismantled West Allegheny with a quick-offload, high-paced type of game to day before, had little answer as they struggled to maintain possession or put themselves in scoring position.
