GRR: Rugby Northeast
The Men's DII College schedule for this weekend is suddenly far, far smaller than it has been the previous weeks.
Now that we're into the national playoffs, we've got nine games this weekend, all involving ranked teams, and most involving two ranked teams.
Some more on the developments have arisen surrounding the Rugby Northeast tiebreaker issue.
The Rugby Northeast playoff seeds have changed twice so far in the last couple of days, and could change again.
After Bentley defeated Providence College and Southern Connecticut won over St. Michael's to get all three at 7-1. Rugby Northeast does not use the bonus point system, and so the teams were just flat-out tied at 7-1.
In the Wisconsin-Iowa-Illinois League (WII), Wisconsin-Whitewater is, not unexpectedly, in the final, after beating Northern Iowa 88-12 in a physical game. Illinois State also won, putting a 58-19 decision over a very good Wisconsin-Milwaukee team. Those two teams will battle it out for the conference title Sunday. But UNI and UW-M are not out of national playoff contention.

New England Wide. The much-anticipated clash between Coast Guard and Hartford didn't happen, as Hartford apparently conceded the conference to the US Coast Guard Academy. So Coast Guard moves on to the national playoffs.
