GRR: Rugby New Jersey
In 2014 Rugby New Jersey established our first class of Honorary All State Players.
These selected student athletes played rugby during their High School years in New Jersey and went on to play in College.
St. Augustine and the Union County Mudturtles secured Rugby New Jersey state titles over the weekend.
Led by a player-of-the-game performance from Andrew Whiteman, the Hermits battled in a tight game with Delbarton. Delbarton led 12-7 at halftime but St. Augustine came back, tied it 12-12 through a try from John Lawson, and then Whiteman scored the game-winner.
St. Augustine won the New Jersey single-school boys title for the second time in a row, holding off a determined Delbarton.

Greenwich took the Rugby Connecticut title this past weekend, defeating Staples 33-27 in the state final.

MassachusettsThe MIAA keeps on rolling and Belmont High is still on top. Belmont beat Lincoln-Sudbury and Xaverian Brothers to remain undefeated in the Massachusetts varsity league.
