Virginia Tech's journey back to the NCR D1AA semifinals is a lesson in losing.
Navy clinched 1st in the Rugby East with a 28-8 defeat of St. Bonaventure Saturday.
Lewis Gray opened the scoring with a try and the conversion and while St. Bonaventure answered with a penalty goal, a try from Dale Sturdifen and a Roanin Krieger penalty put the Midshipmen up 15-3 at the break.
The Rugby East is going down to the wire, just like everyone wanted.
With Navy's win over Army, there is still a chance for St. Bonaventure to sit atop the heap. It's a little complicated, but here's how it goes:
The US Naval Academy defeated the US Military Academy 27-14 Saturday to improve to 8-0 in the Rugby East and 10-0 overall, beating their heated rivals for the first time since 2019.
There's still plenty to play for in the Rugby East, not least because of the CRAA/NCR split.
