Regis Jesuit logged a workmanlike Thursday-night victory over the Palmer Terrors in Colorado despite some pretty brutal weather.
"I am excited for some nice spring weather in May," said Regis Head Coach Ethan Pougnet, who took his side on a March tour to Arizona only to get rained on there.
Regis Jesuit will host a series of games in Denver in a week.
This will be the first annual Holy Classic Rugby Showcase. St. Thomas Aquinas is due to tour, so Valor has been invited to join and the three teams will all play each other.
"This will become an annual event in Denver and we hope to grow it quickly," said Regis Jesuit Head Coach Ethan Pougnet.
Regis Jesuit made it six wins in a row with a 44-19 CIRA league victory over Palmer over the weekend.
Player of the game Derv Taylor III scored two tries playing on the wing.
St. Augustine and Cathedral Catholic in Southern California held the inaugural SD Invitational, hosting St. Joseph's Prep from Philadelphia and Regis Jesuit from Denver.
The annual Boot Bowl rivalry game between Regis Jesuit and Denver East HS wasn't played in 2021, but it returned this weekend to help kick off the Rugby Colorado season.
