GRR: Quinnipiac
More friendlies await for Central Washington, but this weekend is arguably the most exciting for the Wildcats this fall. The Ellensburg team is on the east coast, and will play Norwich and Quinnipiac in an all-varsity double-header.
The 2014-15 season was an unforgettable one for Life University, which competed in its first DI season and finished third at the national spring championships. The Running Eagles then followed with a debut performance at the CRC 7s and sent a representative to the first-ever Women’s Collegiate All American 7s team, which won the Elite City 7s.
First it was Army, and now it’s Quinnipiac that has banked its first-ever 15s win against Norwich. The Bobcats traveled to Northfield, Vt., for this all-varsity matchup and returned to Connecticut with a 48-19 victory (read more).
After a tight first half, Quinnipiac pulled away to beat new varsity program Dartmouth 43-5. The Bobcats improve to 2-1 overall, while the Big Green are 1-1 overall.
The first varsity match of the season occurred today, as Quinnipiac University traveled to Euclid, Ohio, to face Notre Dame College, which is celebrating its first DI season. After a long stalemate, the Bobcats pulled ahead 41-10 for the victory.
