New England College dominated their regional playoffs in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) with a 72-5 defeat of the University of Rochester, and a 38-12 defeat of Eastern Connecticut State.

That put NEC in the national semifinals, joining Central region winners St. John’s. Two more spots remain to be claimed for the April 25-26 finals.

Following the NSCRO Women’s Small College National Championship, both the all-tournament team and Heart-and-Soul awards were presented.

Women’s Collegiate All American coach Martha Daines selected the All-NSCRO Championship XV and presented the 15 players with a trophy and t-shirt provided by World Rugby Shop. Daines chose Roger Williams No. 8 Sadia Crosby as the championship MVP.

It took three years, but Roger Williams finally has its trophy. After second- and fourth-place finishes at the previous two championships, the Rhode Island team took home the women’s National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) title after back-to-back victories against UM Moorhead and Sacred Heart.
