As this writer said in a Facebook Live Q&A this week, for many college players, what their umbrella organization turns out to be won't change too much. Small college teams will go on as before. Men's D2 college teams will, with one or two exceptions, go on as before.

In response to COVID-19, the NCAA is considering reducing the number of sports a college has to support in order to be considered D1.

The current rules say that FBS schools must field at least 16 teams and D1 schools at least 14 teams. A minimum of eight of the FBS list of 16 must be women's teams.

Goff Rugby Report spoke to Alex DiMarco and Cassidy Bargell, both finalists for the MA Sorensen Award, which is given every year to the top women's college rugby player in the country.

The finalists for the MA Sorensen Award as the top women's college rugby player in the United States have been selected.

A combination of coach/team votes, and fan votes, have whittled the list of nominees down to five finalists. The top fan vote-getter is an automatic finalist, and so is the top team vote-getter (those votes usually logged by coaches or team presidents).
