Iowa Central Community College has been notified that if the men's rugby team wants to play in the playoffs, it will have to be in DIAA.
Lindenwood-Belleville avenged an earlier loss to Iowa Central Community College, beating the Tritons Wednesday 33-16 and making something of a statement, or two.
The teams changed ends almost tied, with the Lynx leading the Tritons 18-16. Then Belleville shut out Iowa CCC 15-0 in the second half to pull away.
Here's how this works: if you are playing for a national championship, and someone is better than you, then that other team will likely beat you.
That's the way of the sporting world. We have rules about eligibility and what type of competition you're in, sure, but this sport has far, far too many examples of "we lost but ..." excuse-mongering.
