GRR: CRC 7s
Here are the scores and standings from the Men's CRC Qualifiers at the Las Vegas Invitational.
As expected, AIC dominated play in a relatively easy pool. Notre Dame College and Utah also cruised to 3-0 records.
But, there were a few shakeups and surprises.
1. There was never a 4th team in Pool E, so the other three teams there got 14-0 forfeits.
AIC looks to be the easy pick for the CRC Qualifier at the Las Vegas Invitational.
You wonder, really, if it will be all that close.
In truth, there are some other teams that could win their way to Philly. Air Force has shown to be handy at 7s, Notre Dame College has some exciting pace. But, aside from two other teams I’ll talk about in a minute, AIC is the favorite.
As often happens in large tournaments, there are some changes in the lineup of some brackets at the Las Vegas Invitational - most notably in the CRC Qualifier.
The pools are set for the Men’s CRC Qualifier in Las Vegas, March 3-5.
There is, in fact, still room for one more team - only 23 have registered, and so one of the pools is still looking for a team.
But, with that said, here are the pools:
Pool A: AIC, Miami (Ohio), Colorado State, Ithaca 2
Pool B: Notre Dame College, James Madison, Colorado, UNLV
As reported by Rugby Today, the CRC 7s has released its list of teams at the main tournament in 2016:
