Bowling Green defeated Ohio State in one of the longest continuously played rivalries in the Midwest, if not the United States; the series kicked off in 1968 when BG defeated OSU 5-3 in the Falcons' first ever match.

The Falcon ruggers beat Ohio State 26-16 this time around, marking BGSU's seventh straight victory over the Buckeyes.

Bowling Green won this year’s Mid American Conference Sevens Championship with an offensive outburst in the final, 46-0 over fellow finalists Cincinnati.

Played at BG’s College Park rugby pitch on the first decent weather rugby day this entire spring, the Falcons were one of five teams to end pool play with 2-1 records.

The Notre Dame College Falcons are through to the DIAA Quarterfinals after beating Bowling Green 52-21 in a midweek playoff game.

The game was played midweek to accommodate the fact that NDC played Wheeling Jesuit this past weekend, and Bowling Green has a 7s tournament coming on Saturday.

Bowling Green University men's team is on a tour of the United Kingdom, and logged a nice win to start things off.

It’s been a difficult season for Bowling Green.

The Falcons don’t normally lose games in their conference, and yet they lost twice to conference opponents, including a contentious 33-29 decision against Western Michigan, and a 51-29 loss to Cincinnati two weeks ago.

So going into this weekend’s semifinals and final, BGSU had some work to do to get back on top.
