GRR: Bishop Shanahan
Berks County Rugby won their second straight Rugby PA 7s tournament and now go into the state championship weekend with some momentum.
Rugby Pennsylvania's Boys fall 7s promises to be a very intense competition all the way through the championship weekend.
Over this past weekend several teams showed flashed of being able to win the tournament, and while Berks County came away with the honors, LaSalle, Conestoga, Bishop Shanahan, Gregory the Great, Downingtown, and St. Joseph's Prep all were right there.
The Bishop Shanahan boys team took the Rugby Pennsylvania fall 7s title for the third year in a row last weekend.
It wasn't easy, as Shanahan had to get by a Berks County team that had been playing very well, and a difficult St. Joe's Prep squad as well.
The Rugby Pennsylvania Fall 7s Series stopped at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa. this past weekend and Bishop Shanahan came out on top once again as the boys HS 7s competition drives to the championship at the end of the month.
Gregory the Great held off Cumberland Valley 18-10 to win Rugby Pennsylvania's single-school boys title over the weekend.
