Life Of Significance Award Open To All NSCRO Student-Athletes
Penn Mutual has expanded its Life of Significance Award to be open to all 10,000 men and women who participate in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO).
From among the finalists, Penn Mutual will present the award to the rugby student-athlete who exemplifies the shared values of integrity, respect, loyalty and community.
“Over the past five years we have seen so many rugby players give back to their communities in extraordinary ways,” said Penn Mutual Chairman and CEO Eileen McDonnell. “By expanding this award we hope to provide the opportunity to recognize more individuals who are committed to providing a better future for all.”
Entering its sixth year, the award has the potential to impact almost 400 programs across the country that compete in NSCRO.
“NSCRO and its members share the same values that we do as an organization,” said McDonnell. “We are thrilled to continue the Life of Significance Award and present it to one of the organization’s many deserving members.”
The Life of Significance Award was inspired by the book, “Living a Life of Significance,” by Joseph Jordan, which details the positive impact the life insurance industry has on society.
All NSCRO rugby student-athletes are now eligible for nomination, whether they play 15s or 7s.
The winner receives:
$5,000 donation to the charity of their choice
$1,000 worth of Rhino Rugby Gear for their club
Attendance and recognition at the United States Rugby Foundation Hall of Fame dinner
An on-campus special event recognizing the winner and their commitment to these values
