US Rugby Foundation Scholarships Announced
After receiving and reviewing a record number of 27 college scholarship applications for the 14 2019-20 college scholarships on offer, the U.S. Rugby Foundation has announced this year's scholarship recipients.
Selected as the 2019-20 Terry O'Reilly Memorial Scholarship recipient is Arizona State University's Joshua Lesley.
Chosen as the 2019-20 Richard Donelli Memorial Scholarship recipient is St. Bonaventure University's Mark Blum.
The two recipients of the 2019-20 Meg Votta Memorial Scholarships are Queens University of Charlotte's Megan Reed and Fairfield University's Nick Lapponese.
The 10 2019-20 Kevin Higgins College Scholarship recipients are: West Chester University's Haley Andreasen, Queens University of Charlotte's Audra Fabrizio, Lindenwood University's Avalua Lafitaga, Cal Poly's Jack Marchant, University of Arizona's King Matu, Kutztown University's Patrick O'Reilly, Cal's Max Schumacher, Sacramento State University's David Starnes, Trinity College's Collin Willsey and UC Santa Cruz's Jackson Zabierek.
"It's always very difficult for our scholarship selection committees to choose the scholarship winners, but this year was the most difficult one yet," said U.S. Rugby Foundation president, Brian Vizard. "There were so many exceptional candidates this year that it made selection discussions last that much longer. The Rugby Foundation thanks all those who applied for this years college scholarships."
