Keyon McCloud, Kutztown
The hard-charging prop was massive against very accomplished opposition Saturday as he led the Golden Bears to a 34-24 defeat of Penn State.
Marcus Montgomery, Salisbury
The Sharks right wing raced in for two tries in the last ten minutes against Virginia Tech. The first one started the Salisbury comeback, and the second broke a 19-19 tie and set up his team’s 26-24 upset of the Hokies.
Matt Conforti, Buffalo
The UB outside center scored four tries as Buffalo beat Cortland 76-8.
Rosado Alijhen, Minnesota
With his team down 19-0, the Golden Gopher outside center ran in two tries in the early part of the second half to make it 19-12. Minnesota ultimately tied the game 19-19.
Tinashe Muchena, Lindenwood
A transfer from Lindenwood-Belleville, Muchena was outstanding in his first run-out for the Lions, scoring a try and keeping his team on the front foot in an impressive 27-10 defeat of Army.
Marshall Ney, Indiana
Playing flanker for Indiana, Ney helped nail down a strong defensive effort as IU beat Wisconsin 44-3.
Nick Snyder, Gonzaga
As the Bulldogs beat Eastern Washington 34-17 in NCRC action, the Gonzaga prop scored a try, converted it, had to go over for a blood sub, and set the tone up front in a key early win for Gonzaga.
Evian Malik Akers, Darious Palmer, and Cameron Grause, Lindenwood-Belleville
The Lynx won yet again with a fairly strong performance over Iowa and the deep three of Akers, Palmer, and Grause caused Iowa all sorts of problems. They are handling the kicking game well, playing strong defense, and attacking gaps all day.
Samual Portello, Boise State
Playing flyhalf for Boise State, Portello scored two tries, three conversions, and a penalty goal to score 19 points in the first half to speerhead a 75-8 victory over Washington State.
Max Bryson, West Chester (pictured)
In a key victory over Pitt, Bryson excelled at outside center, scoring two tries, kicking perfect restarts that kept Pitt under pressure, and superb leadership.
Tyler Ringwood, Iona
The Gaels hooker scored two tries and was central to Iona securing good ball in a 69-22 defeat of Stony Brook.
Tommy Clark, AIC
The All American lock/flanker, playing flanker this week, was a huge presence for American International as the YellowJackets beat Fordham 33-7.
Soren Heitmann, Colorado
The Buffaloes inside center crash through for two tries, one in the first half to make it 5-3, and one in the second half to make it, with Konstantin Zagustin’s conversion, 19-13. Colorado held on 19-18 against Utah Valley.
