Joe Hawthorne (Hudson), Kyle Sikora (St Edward), Joelle Keeley (St. Edward), Eric Steinmetz (Avon), Joe O’Brien (St Ignatius), and Josh Leidich (St Edward) all recorded tries while, Conor Forrestal (St Edward) scored 16 points on eight conversions.
The Boys JV defeated Illinois 35-7 and EIRA Midwest 29-0.
On the girls side, the Varsity took care of Minnesota 70-0 and Indy Speed 26-15. The Girls JV defeated Indy Speed 47-5 in their game.
“Both sides came together and started to play as more of a team as the day progressed and they got more comfortable playing together," said Boys Assistant Coach Ryan Bradfield. "I was particularly impressed with the team play of the JV Boys squad. I think I saw all 15 players touch the ball in the build up play that led up to one of their scores which was awesome to see out of a younger group of guys who were thrown together to play on an all start team. The Varsity was equally effective moving the ball through the hands and and stringing together in long, multi-phase possessions that resulted in tries.”
