We have two weeks of action for our latest Gamebreakers. Here's who impressed:

 

Nathaniel Turak, Rochambeau Roosters

Turak's goalkicking was the difference, as his team and the Maryland Exiles scored six tries each. By converting five of six tries, Turak helped the Roosters to a 40-34 victory.

 

 

Kieran Webb, Bayou Hurricanes Webb played a strong game at prop for the Hurricanes as they capped off their torrid late charge to beat Jesuit New Orleans to make the Louisiana playoffs. Webb also scored a try, running in from 70 meters.

 

 

Tyson Lucas, Allen Eagles

The Allen flyhalf and captain, Lucas scored three tries and set up several others as Allen beat rivals Plano.(Pictured above, Photo Tiffany Sene)

 

Tyler Heer, Culver Military Academy

The young back was a try-scoring machine for Culver during their tour of South America.

 

Joe Griffin, Wando HS

Griffin's work in tight was a big part of Wando's close win in the South Carolina state final. The fact that he also scored a try was just gravy.

 

Jack Freixa, Okapi

 The Wanderers' No. 8 has been brilliant and led Okapi to a regional title over St. Thomas Aquinas, and a state semi win over Orlando.

 

Miles Brown, Gonzaga

The flanker made two key late plays in Gonzaga's close win over then-#1 Xavier.

 

Zak Barker, Herriman

Jake Vassar, Jesuit

Vassar scored two tries in a key win over Granite Bay.

 

Tau Mulipola, Genesis 

The Genesis No. 8 was a thundering block of rugby player who ld from the front as Genesis continued their undefeated run.

Gavin Nawahene, Rocky Mountain

The Idaho-based Rocky Mountain team got by Capital and Rush the past two weeks, and they did it in part with some set-piece, led by Nawahene at No. 8.

 

The next ten minutes saw both sides working to get their offense going, only to be met by stalwart defense.  St. John’s Prep were able to steal BC High ball at the breakdown and frustrate the BC High set piece. But a knock-on inside their own 22 proved costly to Prep, as the BC High scrumhalf took the ball from the base of the ruck down the narrow, drawing a defender and giving the ball to Ryan Connolly on the wing. Connolly stepped by one defender and ran through three more on his way to a try. Sommer converted, giving BC High a 10-0 lead.  

 

Kevin O'Reilly and Cameron Donachie, De La Salle

This halfback combo (O'Reilly at scrumhalf and Donachie at flyhalf) have been at the center of the Spartans' undefeated league season.

Josehua Kauvesi, Elsie Allen

Kauvesi scored two tries in a close loss to Peninsula Green.

 

Greg O'Shields, Charlotte Catholic

Catholic beat Union County in a crucial North Carolina matchup, and O'Shields was once again important to his team's success, setting up tries all over the field.

 

 

Michael Perone, San Diego Mustangs

The Mustangs defeated top Utah team Snow Canyon, thanks in part to two tries and a ton of work from Perone at prop.

 

Na'a Tooraa, Kahuku HS

The Red Raiders inside center scored twice as Kahuku defeated St. Francis for the Oahu league title.

 

Jay Tufele, West Valley

The Warriors' flanker scored four tries as West Valley defeated United.

 

Chase Schor Haskin, St Thomas Aquinas, Fla.

STA beat Tampa in the state semis in Florida, and the HS All American flanker was strong in all aspects, but especially in defense.

 

Hutton Peterson, Newberg (Ore.)

Outside center and senior for the Titans, Peterson scored three tries and was named player of the game in a 32-31 loss to Union.

 

Chance Glover, Ahwatukee

In helping Ahwatukee to a Arizona state playoff win, Glover was the key conduit to his team's scoring efforts, and was named player of the game.

 

 

 

Gavin Ziegler, Cumberland Valley Strong in the scrums and lineout, Ziegler (pictured at right in white preparing to jump in the lineout) led Cumberland Valley to a win over West Shore.

 

Zach Bastres, Monarch HS

Playing center for Monarch, Bastres played excellent defense as Monarch got by rivals Palmer.

 

Will Lyke, Gonzaga

In sweeping St. Ignatius and the KC Jr. Blues, Gonzaga had a productive weekend, and flanker Lyke ran well with the ball, played strong defense, and did everything asked of him and more.

 

Mason Tasset, KC Jr Blues

The Junior Blues may have lost two games to top-ranked teams over the weekend, but No. 8 Tasset turned heads all over with his powerful running and punishing tackles.

 

William Satuala, Belmont Shore

A massive, imposing, and fleet-footed inside center for the Whales, Satuala helped power Belmont Shore to a win over South Bay.

 

Mateo Vandamia, West Allegheny

Vandamia is a sophomore center who is fast becoming a go-to attacker for the Pennsylvania single-school team.
