Good Start for Northeastern
Northeastern University laid down something of a big result this weekend in beating Harvard 31-13 in a preseason clash.
For Harvard, it was a very useful warmup game as the Ivy League looms, but it was perhaps also a slight disappointment as the Crimson has high expectations. For Northeastern, which finished 4-4 in the ECRC last year and was on the receiving end of a few big scores, this was a very good dart.
“We feel we have a good team,” said Back Coach Bob Carroll. “We also know we have a lot of work to do. There were no standouts, but that’s good. The guys worked hard and the players seem to connect pretty well.”
Northeastern didn’t have their full complement of players, and with Head Coach Edward Tubridy looking to push them further, the Bulldogs have reason to be confident this fall.
