Over the last couple of weeks, various teams have been in the middle of their playoffs and championship games.

This is our Gamebreakers column from this games, not including the Boys HS Rugby National Championships - we’ll have an additional edition for that one.

Tucker Donlon

The captain of St. Xavier led his team to the Kentucky state championship over Trinity.

Emmanuel Albert

The powerful No. 8 and onetime center has led the Eagan to the Minnesota semifinals with his impressive running and defense.

Jaeron Masina

The Herriman prop unleashed his best game of the season to help lead the Mustangs to a state single-school championship win over Snow Canyon.

Will Jacobs

The Prince William flanker might have been on a team on the losing end in the Virginia state final, but Jacobs was outstanding, covering the field, scoring a try, and making tackles.

Chad Abdalla

The power-running loose forward scored two tries for Fort Hunt as he helped his team to a 36-19 win over Prince William in the Rugby Virginia final.

Sam Adix

East HS may have lost to Rugby Colorado final 17-16 to Regis Jesuit, but they wouldn’t have been that close were it not for Adix, who slotted a conversion and three straight penalty goals.

Lou Vera

Turnabout is fair play for the goalkickers. Vera slotted two tough conversions and the game-winning penalty for Regis Jesuit in their Colorado state win over East HS.

Tevita Tauvao

The West Valley No. 8 scored and was a massive presence for the Warriors as they won the Utah HS club championship. Tauvao was player of the game in the win over Kau Toa.

Halleluiah Tiauli

The flanker and captain for the Rainier Highlanders was a force in the breakdown in helping his team for a win over Liberty in the Rugby Washington state final.

Zachary Diaz

The hooker for Polk County played a solid game over Northside and also kicked the goals - two penalties and two conversions - in his team’s 20-15 HS club final in Oregon.

Luke Ensing

The inside center for Grandville was the MVP of the Michigan state final as Grandville defeated Kalamazoo.

Devin Short

The big, power-running center/wing/No. 8 was central to the Black Hawks’ attack as they defeated Las Vegas Rugby Academy to win the Nevada state title.

Andrew Petrillo

The top scorer for Delbarton was an injection of power and athleticism in leading Delbarton to the New Jersey single-school state title.

Jack Dabulas

Two early tries set up the Union Mudturtles for a big win over Bridgewater for the New Jersey HS club tournament.

Austin Lewis and Max Burchett

Lewis was injured earlier in the season and missed the Pacific Cup and the earlier Oregon single-school playoffs, but returned in time to score two tries and play some excellent fullback. Burchett led the defensive effort and was an excellent distributor from scrumhalf and was player of the game in the win over the Portland Pumas.
