Upper Midwest 7s Finals in Cottage Grove
The final tournament in a series of college 7s events in the Upper Midwest will decide which team from that region qualifies for the USA Rugby College 7s Championships in the DII bracket.
UW-Whitewater and Minnesota-Duluth have already qualified, but will compete in a hugely competitive tournament that includes UW-Eau Claire, which finished 2nd in last week's event, and Lindenwood-Belleville, which has competed in turnaments from Florida to Nevada and been competitive, but not victorious, in all.
The event will be held in Cottage Grove, Wisc. at the Wisconsin Rugby Club's facility there. Pool A has UW-La Crosse, UW-Eau Claire, Lindenwood-Belleville, Minnesota-Duluth, and Milwaukee School of Engineering. In Pool B is UW-Whitewater, UW-Milwaukee (winners of the tournament they hosted), Winona State, UW-Stout, and UW-Parkside.
This is almost the end of the qualifier season this spring as teams look ahead to the end of May. Below is a list of some of the college tournaments from this spring, who has won them.
