Hurricanes Rain on Brother Martin Parade
The Bayou Hurricanes remained undefeated after an impressive 61-0 defeat of Brother Martin Saturday.
The Hurricanes have not played in a while and Coach greg Dinacola said it was just a relief to get on the field. Rain put the field mostly under water, but they played the game, and the Hurricanes seemed to control most of it.
Scrumhalf Alvin Delaune, prop Josh Boudreaux, No. 8 Andres Auraz, and center Sean Wright all scored tries in the first half, and fullback Brandon Sanders scored two. Wing Tyler Menefee successfully converted six of the seven to make it a 40-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, center Zavier Triplett scored three more and Menefee converted them all.
Sanders and Triplett combined for five tries - the two are known on the team as “Lightning” and “Thunder” and they certainly brought the storm on Saturday.
