CHULA VISTA, Calif. – The USA Men's 7s team has been named for the Sevens World Series stops in Wellington, New Zealand and Sydney, Australia.

Head Coach Mike Friday has made three changes from the team that finished Round #2 in South Africa - Nate Augspurger returns in place of Mike Te'o - Augspurger missed South Africa due to a family wedding; Danny Barrett returns from injury and replaces Garrett Bender; Ben Pinkelman gets a look in favor of Brett Thompson. 

Friday will once again take 13 players, but will use only 12 in each competition.

The newest face is Pinkelman, the Colorado State University All-American loose forward who has already distringuished himself playing for the Denver Barbarians men's club and get a look with the USA Selects in the fall of 2014. Pinkelman received high praise from previous USA Men's 15s Head Coach Mike Tolkin as a player to watch for the future.

Pinkelman also played for the USA Falcons in 7s.

The USA is 3rd in the World Series after finishing 3rd in Dubai and 6th in South Africa. Friday wants more.

"I would have taken third place going into Christmas if offered to me at the start of the season," Friday told Chad Wise of USA Rugby, "as we knew we would be undercooked going into the first two legs. But with where we were and how things were unfolding, to say I am disappointed that we are not on at least 38 points at this stage is an understatement. We are in the 'Group of Death' in Wellington so we need to prepare ourselves to the best of our ability and not expect things to happen, but take control and make them happen."
