Gamebreakers - DI College Men This Week

Here’s a look at some of the players in DIA, DIAA, and ACRC rugby who had good games this past weekend.

Jonah Lamothe

The freshman Clemson back was something of a revelation in the Tigers’ defeat of NC State with two tries.

Tyler Crass

The Wisconsin flyhalf has been critical in running the Badger offense, and led Wisconsin to a 35-5 win over Michigan State.

Nick Franklyn

The AIC hooker scored a classic defensive pressure try, pouncing under a UMass hand to touch down on a loose ball in-goal. Possibly the heads-up play of the week.

Zach Reichenbach

The Wheeling Jesuit captain led from the front and controlled the team’s emotions in a tough game against Delaware.

CJ Burke

The Naval Academy prop scored a try, controlled the set piece, and was a monster in tight in Navy’s 61-29 defeat of Maryland.

Malcolm May

Emerging as one of the best loose forwards in college rugby, May was once again a force to be reckoned with as Penn State defeated Iona.

Ike Onwukanjo

The University of Buffalo win scored six tries in a 101-17 defeat of Brockport.

Gabe Rufflin

The Utah captain and flanker was a defensive powerhouse for Utah in their victory over Air Force.

Bobby Hughes and Kerry Roberts

Playing flanker and lock for Tennessee, Hughes and Roberts were the heart of a defensive effort that held South Carolina to 14 points - enough for a 17-14 Tenneessee win.

Jason Denofa and Murphy Lill

The two young wings for Kutztown scored three tries each against West Virginia.

CJ Leadingham

the Kentucky center was a huge physical presence both in defense and in carrying the ball past the mainline for KU as they beat Vanderbilt 65-0. Leadingham scored two tries.
