The game was marred slightly by the no-show of the scheduled referee, but the game was officiated regardless and Cumberland Valley took and early lead and held on 23-12.

"Cumberland Valley played well and deserved the win," said West Shore Coach Sean Robinson.

Cumberland Valley scored within the first three minutes when flyhalf Alex Spenceley grubbered a kick to within a meter of the West Shore goalline. The CV pursuit isolated West Shore's wing and center Jack Abom poached the ball and fell forward for the try. Spenceley added a penalty kick and Abom raced through the West Shore backline from midfield for another score and a 15-0 halftime lead.

The second half remained scoreless in this physical battle until the final 15 minutes when West Shore expertly executed a penalty play from 5 meters out to get onto the scoreboard.  CV stormed back and pressure led to a successful penalty kick by Spenceley to make it 18-7.  With five minutes to play, CV's Abom notched his third try with a cutback run from 15 meters out.  West Shore never stopped pressing and added another try in the match's final minute making the 2015 version of this annual local rivalry a CV victory 23-12.

CV next plays a loaded Conestoga team on April 12, while West Shore faces Media United April 12.
