West Virginia University's men's rugby team is one tiny step away from joining the Rugby East Conference for the 2015-2016 college season.

The Rugby East voted earlier this week to accept WVU into the conference. Now what remains is for USA Rugby's DIA Commissioner, Kevin Battle, to OK the move. However it's unlikely Battle will see a major problem with the move.

The WVU coaches and players have been discussing the move for a while, and Head Coach Richard Glover said it was just time.

"We've won the Keystone Conference twice in a row, and we want to keep developing our players and playing tough competition," said Glover. "So for us it's the right move."
