Lindenwood Unveils Tough Schedule
Lindenwood University has released its Winter/Spring 2015 schedule, and it’s a tight follow-up to a long and arduous fall 2014.
On February 7 the Lions will face both New Orleans RFC men’s club and Louisiana State University. They follow that up with a trip to Las Vegas for the LVI 7s qualifier for the Collegiate Rugby Championships invitational to be held in Chester, Pa.
Back to 15s after that, as the Lions host Palmer College on February 20. Then it’s into Mid-South DIA Conference play, at Life March 7, against Davenport (the only college team to beat Lindenwood in the fall) March 14, hosting Life March 21, and at Davenport April 11. Lindenwood has made a point of playing tough men’s teams and will also schedule the Glendale Raptors April 4 in Colorado.
That’s it for the regular season. After that will come the DIA playoffs, and likely a trip to the USA Rugby 7s championships, and, potentially a place in the CRC if they win in Vegas.
Lindenwood finished the fall 6-2, with losses to Davenport and Life’s men’s team, and wins over Indiana, Palmer College, St. Louis Bombers, Glendale Raptors, and Penn State.
