OU Players Upset as Coach Leaves

University of Oklahoma Head Coach Jason Horowitz has left the program.

The University is expected to release a statement soon saying that Horowitz stepped down, but according to several players, Horowitz was forced out. Players speaking to Goff Rugby Report said they were informed this weekend that Horowitz will no longer be the coach as the result of a complaint filed by a parent of an opposing team (this has not been confirmed). The players are angry, saying that there didn't seem to be an investigation or any attempt to involve the players in the decision.

"It's frustrating to say the least," said club vice president James Kidd. "We didn't feel like we had a voice and we felt this was a decision made hastily. Jason Horowitz had nothing but a positive impact on this program. He came in when we had [over $10,000] in debt, no uniforms, and hardly any players, and he turned it around, and then they let him go."

"We were allowed to comment, but we were not heard," added club president Jayce Crowder. "We wanted Coach Horowitz to stay, but we don't feel the school listened to us. And I have no idea what's next."

Other players contacted Goff Rugby Report to voice their displeasure at Horowitz's ouster.
