City Honors Girls Land in Italy for Winter Tour
City Honors HS out of the Buffalo, NY area is on tour.
The girls team is using GRR sponsor Irish Rugby Tours to travel to Rome, Florence, and Treviso, seeking out, no doubt, some warmer weather as well as outstanding rugby and cultural experiences during the school's late winter break.
The tour will include two matches and they will also have three training sessions with international coaches.
Their first day was in Lazio just outside Rome.
The girls worked with former Italian international Juan Sebastian Francesio Friday evening at the Lazio Rugby Club.
The City Honors players also got to work out with girls from a local club.
They will move on to visit many of the historic sites in Italy, and then will have two more coaching sessions with top-level professional coaches, and two games.
The tour is run by Irish Rugby Tours, which runs tours throughout the world, including setting up the right game matchups, setting up cultural events, and also connecting teams with coaches for special sessions.
