Charlotte Catholic improved to 3-0 with a 20-10 victory over Marvin Ridge Thursday night in North Carolina school-team action.

This was perhaps CC's sternest test so far in the school league, and while they have South Meck and Hough (both currently undefeated) left on the schedule, this has still been a huge turnaround for the program.

Charlotte Catholic was 0-7 in the league last year, and that included a very lopsided loss to Marvin Ridge.

Now, at 3-0, Charlotte Catholic has already marshaled an impressive turnaround.

Thursday night hooker Will Dominguez was a massive contributor on defense while other forwards Thomas McKillop and Miles Caple provided a high work rate and some good carries.

Among the backs center Billy Bambrick was very important attacking out wide and his defensive work was key, also. Not doing a lot of glamorous stuff, Bambrick made it happen for his teammates.

And with scrumhalf Andrew Kuhn getting the ball out quickly and opening it up for everyone else, Charlotte Catholic enjoyed a tense but important victory.
