NCR Men D1 and D1AA Scores and Notes:

NCR D1

Brown 23 Walsh 15
Wheeling 58 Notre Dame 24
Queens 37 AIC 19
St. Bonaventure 30- Thomas More 24

This sets up the semifinals in two weeks:
Wheeling vs Queens
St. Bonaventure vs Brown

The GRR NCR D1 Rankings have Queens at #1, Wheeling at #3, St. Bonaventure at #4, and Brown at #2.

The higher-ranked team won each of the four games.

NCR D1AA

UMass 27 LSU 12
Kentucky 63 St. Joseph 17
Virginia Tech 44 Boston College 39
Bowling Green 39 Clemson 18

Three pretty close games.

Boston College vs Virginia Tech ended tied at full time. Boston College was leading going into the final quarter but the Hokies outscored the Eagles 24-5 in the final 20 as errors crept into the BC game. Key errors for BC included knock-ons at the tryline and, after trying the game near the end, allowing the restart to fall to ground and roll into touch. They then lost the lineout.

Virginia Tech scored the lone try in overtime to win it.

Bowling Green won their game backed by three tries scored by No. 8 Phil Tracey.

Kentucky blew by St. Joe's and the UMass defense once again was the winner.

So the semifinals in two weeks will be:
Virginia Tech vs Bowling Green
UMass vs Kentucky

GRR ranked all D1AA teams playing in the fall, so that includes CRAA teams. That's why not all the top-ranked teams are in the semis. Kentucky is #1, Bowling Green #3, Virginia Tech #7, and UMass #9.

Higher-ranked teams won all four quarterfinals.
