Despite his concerns, Head Coach Frank McKinney saw Queens University win comfortably over Southern Virginia 52-6.

On Friday Army vaulted to 4-1 thanks to Benji Kemp, who scored three tries, the first to open the scoring, the second to nudge his side in front at halftime, and the third when St. Bonaventure led 21-20 to win it 25-21.

Bonnies drops to 2-2.

Penn State logged their first conference victory of the season, defeating Kutztown 32-24. It was only a matter of time, really, that an improving Penn State side would get a win.

And finally, Mount St. Mary's beat Mary Washington 44-35 to improve to 2-2.

"It was a great match," said Mount DOR Jay Myles. "Their attack is incredibly dangerous. With the ball in hand they were really good and ran some great support lines."

For MSM, Evan Corbett scored 29 points with two tries and 19 points from the boot.

"His kicking was phenomenal," said Myles.

Overall, added Myles, the forward pack is getting the job done and were solid in both scrums and lineouts. 

Prop Damon James put in a strong performance, improving on his meters per carry, his work rate, and his support line running, while adding some excellent scrummaging. 

But, added Myles, it's been a group effort.

"The pack is settling in," said Myles, who laid much of the credit for the team's improvement to assistant coaches Kyle Powers, Chet Rockwood, Mike Kiefer and the work they've done with the players.

"They've been able to get the players to really buy into the systems," said Myles.
