Eagle HS Don't Lose a Beat as Idaho Girls 7s Starts
Eagle HS is coming off a Girls HS Club National Championship and immediately turned around to start strong in fall 7s in Idaho.
The first two weeks of Idaho’s ADA league has seen Eagle beat Kuna 40-5, Meridian 38-5, and, this past weekend, Meridian 41-5, and Kuna 42-0.
Eagle only graduated four seniors from last year’s championship team: Jordynn LeBeau, Karlee Allington, Ali Blackburn, and Paige Cantwell, so reloading for 2024-25 hasn’t required too much readjustment.
“Players like Ella Elordi, Madi Cerda, and Kanani Watts have all been impact players that have been well known throughout the state.,” said Head Coach Kraig Smikel.
Meanwhile, Anna Petzinger and Tommy Stone do the unsung work and they are starting to be noticed a bit more.
“We’ve been fortunate to have lots of depth this year and can make roster decisions based on the competition, so that’s been a challenging but cool experience as well,” added Smikel.
