Atlantis U16s Win Cheesesteak 7s
The Atlantis U16 boys team won the U19 division at the Cheesesteak 7s in Wilmington, Del over the weekend.
The tournament numbered four teams, with everyone playing everyone else before there's a final and a 3rd-4th game.
Atlantis faces and beat the Explorers, MD15/Archmere, and Wilmington Colts.
They won all of those games, and the final as well, outscoring the opposition 116-34.
The Atlantis U16s used this tournament to warm up for the NAI 7s, which is in just under two weeks in Salt Lake City.
Atlantis is in the NAI 7s U16 bracket in Pool B with Provo Steelers and Rebel Rugby Academy.
At the Cheesesteak 7s Jamie Rivera was a superb playmaker and was also hugely influential on restarts. He disrupted opposition possession on restarts throughout the day and made a big difference for Atlantis.
Caius Michlitsch, meanwhile, was just unstoppable on the outside.
With his blazing speed he was a try-scoring sensation.
