University of Alabama Seeks Men's Rugby Coach
The University of Alabama Rugby team players, in conjunction with the Alabama Rugby Foundation Board, are announcing the opening of the Head Coach position for the men's rugby team.
The Head Coach will work in partnership with the Alabama Rugby Leadership and Alabama Rugby Foundation Board to provide guidance and expertise in the identification and development of players in any and all as aspects of collegiate rugby including the identification of players for All American selection (academic or high performance), player identification camps, and national team development programs.
The new Head Coach will oversee the program, working with team leadership, developing leaders, working on management and planning of the team, coaching skills and tactics, player developments, and more.
This is a paid position, with a stipend provided based on experience. The payment and oversight is managed by the Alabama Rugby Foundation, a non-profit coalition of alumni, parents, players, and boosters that support rugby at the University of Alabama and the state as a whole. The previous Crimson Tide Head Coach, Eddie Buckner, is stepping down from the position to pursue other rugby projects.
