Boston College High Defeats Delbarton
Boston College High followed up on their defeat of the Massachusetts IAA rivals Milton with a win over defending New Jersey champs Delbarton on Friday.
Both teams graduated large numbers of seniors from 2021 and were looking to test themselves against out-of-state competition. It was a physical matchup between the two teams—BC High run through their structures and did well to deprive Delbarton of much possession en rout to a 59-14 victory.
Senior captain and hooker Sean Murphy scored three tries and winger Charlie Reitz added two of his own, while senior Jimmy Flaherty went 5-for-6 on conversions.
“Huge thanks to Delbarton who were class both on and off the pitch," said BC High Head Coach Paul Carty. "Our boys clicked in attack and, save for a few mistakes, defended as well as we have all season.”
BC High hosts Bishop Hendricken Wednesday while Delbarton travels to Hendricken on Saturday.
